TiNTiY

TiNTiY, ‘Tomorrow is Now, Today is Yesterday’, is all about the information bombardments we have to endure, but also participate in ourselves, and the anxiety that follows from it.

Throughout the piece, the dancers relentlessly produce a myriad of gestures. Some are known, some are clearly new, but almost all of them disappear before you can even try to fully understand their meaning. At first, this might cause an eerily familiar feeling of ‘information overload’, but after a while, when you start to surrender to this intense, formal succession of ‘whatever’, together with the dancers, you might see the body again, that is, the body that tends to get lost between all our codes and signs. In this way, the piece tries to rediscover and maybe even reclaim our lost bodies, buried between all our (empty) gestures, opinions, signs, persuasions and what not.
